Tudor Caravan Park - Coronavirus Update

We Are Opening On 12th April

As of 8th April 2021

YES - We Are re-opening on 12th April for everyone who has their own toilet & shower facilities. You can book via the website now.

Sadly we ARE NOT allowed to open our toilet & shower facilities at this time.

Please do not book at present if you do not have your own facilities.

As of 4th March 2021

As previously stated - Sadly we DO NOT expect our toilet & shower facilities to re-open straight away.

We are awaiting government advice regarding this.

As of 24th February 2021

Following yesterday's update that we may be allowed re-open NO EARLIER than 12th April.

We are inundated with enquiries, questions, and requests to rebook.

Please be patient - we will get to you as soon as possible.

We must reiterate the following:

1) Government guidelines say this is the earliest date and is NOT guaranteed.

2) We would suggest waiting until the government give firmer guidance before rebooking.

3) It is very likely that our toilet & shower blocks will not be open until a date after this.

As of 23rd February 2021

The UK Government have announced that 'self-contained accommodation' will be allowed to re-open no earlier than 12th April.

As such this means Tudor Caravan Park will stay closed until (at least) that date. We await further information.

Be Aware that under current rules it is also very likely that our toilet & shower blocks will not be open until a date after this.

If you have a booking for this period we will again extend our transfer window to allow all bookings and monies paid to be transferred until the end of 2021.

If you have an existing booking before that date you will receive an email in the next few days with rebooking details.

Due to the high level of calls - our phone will not be monitored for the time being - please only email us (info@tudorcaravanpark.co.uk) with specific enquiries and make sure you include your Booking Reference Number and we will reply as soon as possible.

Our website will be available to book for 2021 but we suggest everyone waits until a firmer outlook is known.

As of 24th December 2020

The UK Government have announced that Gloucestershire is now in Tier 3.

As such this means Tudor Caravan Park will close from 25th December until further updates are received.

If you have a booking for this period we will again extend our transfer window to allow all bookings and monies paid to be transferred until the end of next year (2021). Please email us (info@tudorcaravanpark.co.uk) rather than phone (as the phone lines are extremely busy) with your Booking Reference Number and we will reply as soon as possible.

Our website will be available to book for 2021 but we suggest everyone waits until a firmer outlook is known.

As of 26th November 2020

On 23rd November, the Prime Minister announced a return to a 3-tier system from Wednesday (2nd December).

Gloucestershire & Tudor Caravan Park are in Tier 2.

This means we can re-open.

This also means while you are staying with us you should follows rules for Tier 2.

As we understand it, the tier affects where you are coming from and where you are going to.

In short if both You and Tudor Caravan park are BOTH in Tiers 1 or 2 then you will be able to visit us.

If you are in Tier 3 - You Cannot Travel - please contact Reception (via email please) and we will re-arrange your booking

Please check which tier you are in before booking or travelling.

Travel:

o If you live in a tier 1 area you may travel to a tier 2 area and should follow the rules for that area while you are there.

o If you live in a tier 2 area, you may travel to a tier 1 area and must continue to follow tier 2 rules when you travel to a tier 1 area.

o If you live in tier 1 or 2, you should avoid travel to or overnight stays in tier 3 areas other than where necessary, such as for work, education, youth services, to receive medical treatment, or because of caring responsibilities.

o If you live in a tier 3 area, you can continue to travel to venues or amenities which are open but should aim to reduce the number of journeys you make where possible. You should avoid travelling to other parts of the UK, including for overnight stays other than where necessary, such as for work, education, youth services, to receive medical treatment, or because of caring responsibilities.

Social contact:

o People in tier 1 will be able to gather in groups of up to 6 (or larger if from a single household) indoors or outdoors.

o People in tier 2 will be able to gather in groups of up to 6 outdoors but must only socialise within their own household/support bubble indoors.

o People in tier 3 must only socialise within their own household/support bubble indoors and in most outdoor areas, though they are able to meet in outdoor public spaces, including parks, gardens, and outdoor heritage sites in groups of up to 6.

The Prime Minister announced a ‘stay at home’ lockdown in England from Thursday (5th November) until Wednesday (2nd December).

Along with the whole of England, Tudor Caravan Park will close for this period unless your travel is work related.

If you have a booking for this period we will again extend our transfer window to allow all bookings and monies paid to be transferred until the end of next year (2021). Please email us (info@tudorcaravanpark.co.uk) rather than phone (as the phone lines are extremely busy) with your Booking Reference Number and we will reply as soon as possible.

Our website will be available throughout for bookings for all other periods.

The Government has announced their Three Tier System:

Currently Tudor Caravan Park is in the lowest of these tiers: Medium

Before you travel you should check the situation in your home area - you can use the Government's Local COVID Alert Level website

Medium: The rule of six applies indoors and outdoors;

High: No one must mix indoors with anyone who they do not live with (or have formed a support bubble with);

Very High: You should not travel or leave your very high alert level area;

If you live in a 'Very High' alert area you should not visit us. Please contact Reception to see what we can do for you.

Out toilet & shower facilities are open but we suggest that if you have your own facilities - you should use them.

Please do not visit if you are displaying symptoms of COVID-19 or are self isolating.

From 14th September 2020 it will be against the law to meet people you do not live with in a group larger than 6 (unless you are meeting as a household or support bubble – please refer to the Government guidance for more information on exemptions). This applies indoors and outdoors and includes when visiting caravan parks.

Here are answers to some of the questions we are regularly being asked.

  • When will Tudor Caravan Park be re-opening?
  • ANSWER: JULY 4th - Please read the section at the top of this page and BOOK ONLINE.

  • Will your toilet & shower facilities be open?
  • ANSWER: YES - However they will be subject to some alterations in usage & procedures as recommended by the government.There will be queuing and restrictions on use. We recommend customers who have their own facilities do use them.

  • I have a booking cancelled due to coronavirus - how do I rebook?
  • ANSWER: EMAIL US with your original booking reference number and any changes you wish to make to the booking.

  • Will Reception be Open?
  • ANSWER: YES - we suggest booking online using payment-in-full and 'Select-a-Pitch'. This will minimise queues as Reception will be very busy. Click Here To View Site Map

  • I do not want to use your facilities - can I pitch my own toilet tent?
  • ANSWER: YES - and this will be free of charge - just add a comment in the notes of your online booking.

  • Will I be allowed visitors?
  • ANSWER: NO - you are welcome to meet friends & family off-site but for the time being only registered guests will be allowed on-site.

  • Am I allowed onsite if I am unwell and showing symptoms of coronavirus?
  • ANSWER: NO - you should stay at home and self isolate and contact your GP immediately.
